STAMP TIME / PRIVACY
Privacy
policy
Effective 2 October 2026. This policy explains how Vortica Digital, Lda. processes information when you use Stamp Time and its website.
1. Studying without an account
You can use focus sessions, stamps and local statistics without an account. The app stores your study sessions, categories, stamp progress, selected companion, language, sound and vibration preferences on your iPhone. This information is not sent to our server unless you choose to sign in and sync it.
2. Optional Stamp Time account
If you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple account identifier and, if you share them, your name and email address. We use these to create and authenticate your account. We store a public profile code, your chosen display name, biography, avatar, cover, optional photo and contact links, visibility choices, follows and blocks. Your study sessions, category names and stamp progress are synced to your account so you can use community features and restore progress on another device. We use this information to run the app, show the profile and statistics you choose to make visible, and protect the community.
3. Location and photos
Location is optional. With your permission, iOS provides your device position to suggest nearby place names. When you start studying while signed in and Location is allowed, we save the device position for that study start privately. The administrator can see your last study place and your study-place history on a map. Its precision depends on your iPhone Location setting. Other learners see only the place or region you selected and an approximate regional map point. You can remove your public area in the app and change Location permission in iPhone Settings. To delete saved study places, delete your account in the app. A profile photo is optional. If you upload one while signed in, we store a resized copy for your public profile; new photos may await review before they appear to others.
4. Community visibility and safety
Depending on your choices, other signed-in users can see your profile, selected location, stamp passport, study statistics, categories, contact links, followers and following, and whether you are studying. You can control visibility in the app, block other users, and report profiles. Making your profile invisible removes it from community discovery, maps, rankings and other users' follow lists while that setting is active. We process reports and profile information to moderate the community. Stamp Time has no in-app private messaging.
5. Sharing and external services
Profile sharing uses a link to your public profile. Opening a link to a contact service or the WhatsApp community leaves Stamp Time and is subject to that service's privacy terms. The app uses Apple's Sign in with Apple, location and photo selection features, and standard network connections to the Stamp Time server. We do not use third-party advertising in the app. Premium and subscriptions are not available at launch.
6. Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app, subject to any iOS backups you keep. Account data remains while your account is active. You can delete your account inside Stamp Time; this deletes your account, synced sessions, follows, blocks, reports associated with your account and uploaded photo from our server. It also clears account data from the app. If Apple sign-in access cannot be revoked automatically, the app tells you how to remove it in your Apple Account settings. Limited technical records may remain as required for security, legal obligations or backups. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion.
7. This website
The website uses Google Analytics 4 only if you accept analytics cookies. Google may process cookie identifiers, browser and device information, and page activity. You can decline or change your choice through Cookie preferences; the choice is saved in this browser for six months. Declining does not affect use of the site. Changing to decline stops new measurement and removes accessible analytics cookies on this domain, but cannot undo data already sent. Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. See Google's privacy policy. Our hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver and secure the site.
8. Controller and rights
The controller is Vortica Digital, Lda. For privacy questions or requests, email stamptime@vortica.net. Where applicable, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, or withdraw consent. You can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD.
Community activity and notifications
Recent study sessions appear in the community when your profile, study statistics and ranking participation are visible. Study category names appear only if you choose to share your study categories. We store session likes and notifications for new followers and study likes. If you enable push notifications in a supported app version, we store the device token and language to deliver alerts through Apple Push Notification service. You can change notification permission in iPhone Settings. Shared profiles can also be viewed in a browser by anyone who receives the link, including people without the app.
9. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the effective date above.
